The people of the Arctic region usually lived by hunting and fishing. They still do so now.As I have read somewhere in an article that these people were earlier called Eskimos which means ‘eaters of raw flesh’.They are known as Inuit now which means,’the people’.The people of the Arctic region spent centuries living such a kind of life. After the advancements of technologies however there are many changes that have come over in the Arctic region. The way of life of the people have changed ,their transportation medium have changed, etc.
People earlier in the Arctic region did not have a very much convenient way of transportation. It was not possible to have a proper transportation system due to the climatic conditions there.People earlier used Dog sleds,i.e.,sleds run by dogs.Gradually one thing after the other came up.Now most people use snowmobiles.Snowmobiles are a type of vehicle that are used by the people of that region. The idea and production of snowmobiles were very much liked and accepted by the people of the Arctic region and so the production process also started to take place.
The production of snow mobiles however were not just taking place in the Arctic regions, but it also spread to other countries. To countries like North America, etc. The production of snowmobiles moved to these places because people wanted to use it as a mode of recreation.Unlike as in the Arctic regions,Snowmobiles were not used as a means of transportation in other parts .The other countries had their own mode of transportation .This move and spread of the snowmobiles to other parts, apart from the Arctic region, increased a demand in the production of these vehicles. This increase in demand, later resulted in giving the people of the Arctic Regions another means to earn a livelihood.People in the Arctic regions are often seen to be involved in such production processes. It is really interesting to note how a demand in some other place can bring along a change in some other place. In a way,it is a positive thing.Countries working together for each other and for themselves as good friends do.
